The emphasis in this newly released image of the Antennae Galaxies is mine, of course – anyway it’s nice to see an entire galaxy smile.

Just wondering what the New-Agey woo-woos may think about that – face of god? Manifestation of galactic love? Kryon’s wife? A guardian for the synchronization beam? …?

The house monster got a companion: this guy I spotted last night:

I’ve marked him here so you can recognize him better:

Doesn’t he look a bit like Taz, the Tazmanian Devil from the Bugs Bunny cartoons, just with a smaller or almost closed mouth?

Even if you can’t actually tell (without the marking) whether he happily walks to the right, waving his hand, or stares angrily at someone… I’m really getting the notion that THEY – monstrous THEY – soon will get me! Halp!!!

I’ll take the liberty to ignore the “under the bed” part – this house monster is simply too good:

The monster now has its mouth wide open… unlike late 2007 when the overgrown old building in the foreground was providing eerie teeth.

Paging unsuspectingly through the latest issue of bild der wissenschaft (German popular science magazine), what did my eyes see in an article on astronomy history: Galileo has drawn an alien on the lap of a man (with face mask?) – on the moon!
