Digital sand art

…or just something for playing around for a while… Seen first at Geht mal gar nicht!, then at Blogwiese, and I thought, well, I’ll create some “art” myself with this virtual sand that you can let drop down in different colors at thisissand.com.

These were (after a first test) the results (click for large view):

    Kennst Du noch diese Teile, wo Kunstsand in verschiedenen Farben zwischen zwei Plexiglasscheiben gefangen gehalten wurde? Sorry für die sonderbare Formulierung, ich schlafe wohl noch! Man konnte durch Schütteln oder einfaches Wenden bezaubernde Muster herstellen. Das erinnert mich ein bißchen daran. Nur, wie alles im Web…jetzt ist es virtuell, kann viel mehr und sieht in diesem Falle (leider) doch nicht viel besser aus. Das Bild mit dem Mond gefällt mir. :)

    Ja, kenn ich durchaus, diese “echten” Sandbilder (auch wenn ich nie selber eins hatte) – dürfte durchaus die Inspiration des thisissand-Betreibers gewesen sein, nur kann (und muss) man hier eben den Sand selbst zusammensetzen, was doch nicht ganz einfach ist.

    In deren Galerie (am besten rechts oben auf “Sort by view count” klicken) sind schon einige tolle, aufwendige Bilder dabei (und, naja, auch pubertärer Pseudo-Spaß)…
