(Un)maskiert

Zum “Masken-Montag”1 weist Rockantenne auf maskierte Rockstars à la Lordi und Kiss hin – wobei die ja oft nur geschminkt und nicht bedeckt sind –, und ich dachte mir mal, ich schaue, was so an Masken in Queen-Liedtexten vorkommt.

Tja.

In Innuendo vom gleichnamigen Album 1991 kommt nur dieser Absatz vor, der zur Ent- statt Verhüllung auffordert, zumindest was mögliche verborgene Gottheiten betrifft:

Aber das kann man hier nicht wirklich zählen. Also waren Queen in diesem Punkt nicht gerade ihrer Zeit voraus…
