And there’s a “1.4” to go with the “50mm”, since this is about my new lens, the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM.
First test object, especially to compare the depths of focus, was my greening Christmas star (poinsettia), the longevity of which I wrote about here in late February, here first with maximum aperture of 1.4:

The sun sets
Ever since I’m participating in this project, I occasionally come across motifs of which I think they’d fit this or that topic which surely will show up some time – I shot this photo in late January to have it “on stock”, so I don’t regard this as cheating, by the way. 
Especially since it’s questionable in these rather dull days if you get to see a proper sunset…
Furthermore, after reaching into the archives, I got a second image I want to show you:

I “have to” show a few photos left from Easter in Heilbronn – unlike the days before, on Monday the weather was quite nice until early afternoon.

Oh, and the title is a wordplay with a German phrase (meaning “nothing happening without money”) using “Moos” = dough – and also “Moos” = moss:
