Zodiac

…the current topic at Pabuca.

You wonder what these photos have to do with the topic? Well, apart from rather historical astronomy and the name of some beautiful glow in the sky (zodiacal light, which I can’t ever hope to see here in town, let alone photograph), the zodiac’s main role is of course in astrology. And astrology is of course old scrap, bullshit, trash.

Bridges

What else could it be than another Pabuca topic?

Now a small town like Pfaffenhofen doesn’t have that impressive bridges, so we’re starting small here – with a little thing to an auxiliary platform that was1 necessary because of construction works further south on this track:

bahnsteig

Across the little river Ilm, there once was a makeshift pedestrian bridge which should be used only one person at a time:

behelf

Nearby, by the way, a bridge was once torn down with spears! Well, at least a sign said so, misspelling “gesperrt” (closed, barred) as “gespeert” (speared). :)

We can do a bit bigger (and more durable), too – this bridge is part of the school center:

Full of Culture

Yes, new topic at Pabuca

Let’s start with the Volksfest (so it’s a photo from the archive) – or rather its end, because that’s what it looked like when almost everything was dismantled:

But there are current activities, too, of course, e.g. a strangely pronounced “Lokalklang” (local sound) – I’d rather pronounce it [lo’ka:lklaŋ]:

And as the German culture of bureaucracy demands, it’s properly approved (red sticker)…

Finally two colorful stilt walkers who walked around the market last Saturday:
