See the whole kitty on this Russian page (you can change the text size in the select box). If I interpret Altavista’s translation correctly, the title means “for dear friends” and the text “Watch it when you’re sad… remember the best” or something like that.

My 18th page is a newcomer?

Don’t ask me why the “German Pirated Newcomer Blogcharts” suddenly think (in their edition from 2 Jan 08), my 18th index page (out of currently 28) was a new blog worth listing in the newcomer charts – especially since Technorati doesn’t seem to show a separate Authority for such a sub-page (0 would be needed for these Newcomer charts)…

Finally I got round to photograph this somewhat old sign:

Customer parking 60m left

Translation: Customer parking 60m left

Looks stupid at first, but actually makes sense: those customers arriving from one direction see this sign next to the main entrance, continue to drive 60m in the direction of the arrow, then turn left to the parking site; those arriving from the other direction have already seen the parking site anyway.

Fractal thongs are a biohazard

At least, somehow “G-string/thong” and “biohazard warning sign” crossed my mind when I looked at the fractal title of the latest edition (1/08) of the magazine Spektrum der Wissenschaft (German edition of Scientific American)…:

The magazine itself – which I’ve been reading for many years now – is, of course, more serious and respectable and much less crazy than my thoughts sometimes are. And more worth reading. ;)

There must be a better way to write payment notes (with existing direct debiting authorization!) on invoices that this:

Überweisung/Abbuchung

Translation:
“Please always use the prepared transfer form for payment (see top left)!
Total amount will be directly debited from your account.”
