„Science Fiction“ ist das aktuelle Thema im Projekt 52 Songs – und manche mögen schon erwartet haben, was kommt: Queen mit Material vom „Flash Gordon“-Soundtrack. In diesem Fall ein Live-Medley von „Flash“ – der Beitragstitel ist ein „Zitat“ daraus – und „The Hero“ von 1981:

Seduce you with his money make machine
Cross collateralise big time money money
Reduce you to a muzak fake machine

Im Projekt 52 Songs geht’s um die Versuchung – und anstatt gleich das Gesamtwerk von Within Temptation zu präsentieren, gibt’s wieder einmal Queen, und zwar „Death On Two Legs (Dedicated To…)“ über ihren früheren Manager (1972-75) geschrieben haben, der nicht gerade freundschaftlich mit Queen umgegangen sein soll. Freddie sagte1 über dieses Lied:

„‚Death On Two Legs‘ was the most vicious lyric I ever wrote. It’s so vindictive that Brian felt bad singing it. I don’t like to explain what I was thinking when I wrote a song. I think that’s awful, just awful. When I’m dead, I want to be remembered as a musician of some worth and substance.“

Meine Wahl diesmal hat wieder Queen-Bezug.^^ Und zwar ein Solo-Werk von Gitarrist Brian May namens „I’m scared“, bei dem meine Mutter insbesondere im Refrain, wo der Titel in schneller Folge wiederholt wird, „hab’s g’hert“ (hab’s gehört) verstanden hat…
